Dramatic new trailer for ‘Roe v. Wade’ film calls abortion rights ‘our second civil war’

January 16, 2019

Emboldened by the recent appointment of Brett Kavanaugh, conservatives are gearing up in full force to push for the repeal of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide. A new film, titled Roe v. Wade, makes the anti-abortion case by revisiting the landmark decision in a fictionalized account that the trailer describes as a “conspiracy” by liberals to deprive the “unborn” of legal rights. Featuring high-profile conservatives such as Jon Voight, Stacey Dash, and Tomi Lahren, the trailer opens by showing footage of Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court, accompanied by the line: “It will flip the decision.”

The film stars, is also co-produced and also directed by Nick Loeb, a wealthy scion and entrepreneur who once initiated aggressive legal action against his former partner Sofia Vergara to gain control of frozen embryos the couple had made while together. By filing a lawsuit in Louisiana, the only state that gives frozen embryos legal rights, Loeb was able to list the frozen embryos, which he named “Emma” and “Isabella” in court documents as plaintiffs. The judge went on to dismiss the case.

Loeb has said that he intends to promote the new movie at the upcoming March for Life rally in Washington D.C. on January 18. Last year, President Donald Trump became the first President in 45 years to address the annual anti-abortion rally.
