The Duchess of Sussex’s father, Thomas Markle, is in the news again for all the wrong reasons after giving a bizarre interview in which he claimed that he felt snubbed because Queen Elizabeth had yet to meet him personally. Speaking with TMZ, Markle said that he was upset that none of the royal family reached out to speak to him after another another strange interview he gave to Good Morning Britain last week — in which Markle lamented missing the royal wedding, claimed that Prince Harry told him to give Donald Trump “a chance” and keep an open mind about Brexit. Markle went on to tell TMZ that he was hurt that the Queen was planning to meet Trump during the president’s scheduled visit to the U.K. next month.

“If the Queen is willing to meet our arrogant, ignorant, and insensitive president, she has no excuse not to meet me. I’m nowhere near as bad,” Markle declared.

Ahead of Meghan Markle’s wedding to Prince Harry, Markle found himself in the news after it was discovered that he had staged photos with paparazzi that showed him getting ready for the wedding. In wake of the report, Markle abruptly announced that he might not attend the wedding to avoid embarrassing his daughter further, before suffering a heart attack that ultimately left him unable to travel to the wedding after all.
