Singer Courtney Love publicly sounded the alarm on Harvey Weinstein during a red carpet interview back in 2005, a video clip of which went viral over the weekend. TMZ unearthed the video of Love at the 2005 Comedy Central roast of Pamela Anderson in which red carpet interviewer Natasha Leggero asked her, “Do you have any advice for a young girl moving to Hollywood?”
Love paused for a second weighing whether she should speak out candidly. “I’ll get libeled if I say it,” she told Leggero. But then Love advised, “If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party at the Four Seasons, don’t go.”
Love says she did indeed face professional retribution over the candid remarks. She told TMZ, “Although I wasn’t one of his victims, I was eternally banned by CAA for speaking out against Harvey Weinstein,” a point she echoed in a post on Twitter.
