Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is known to be something of a fitness fiend (not to mention a pioneering figure in the highest federal court of the United States). And thanks to a new book detailing the 84-year-old’s regimen, we can all work on our fitness, Notorious R.B.G.-style.
As The Associated Press reports, The RBG Workout: How She Stays Strong … And You Can Too! is slated for release on October 3. The book is co-authored by illustrator Patrick Welsh and Bryant Johnson, an Army reservist and Ginsburg’s trainer.
Johnson has been keeping Ginsburg in shape since 1999, after the justice successfully underwent treatment for colorectal cancer. During an interview that took place earlier this year, RBG jokingly said that Johnson is currently the most important person in her life.
Ginsburg’s health has been a topic of some concern of late, with liberals hoping she will be able to maintain her position on the court throughout Donald Trump’s presidency, thereby preventing him from appointing a right-leaning justice. And it seems that Ginsburg is doing just fine, thank you very much. She reportedly trains with Johnson twice a week, for one hour each session, and is able to breeze through two sets of 10 pushups.
