U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters of California has repeatedly said that she believes there may be reason to impeach President Donald Trump, a sentiment she echoed Monday on Capitol Hill.

As Time reports, Waters said during a press conference that Trump “is leading himself into that kind of position where people are beginning to ask, ‘What are we going to do?” But she was also quick to note that she has “not called for the impeachment yet.” You can watch her full remarks here:

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has said that there is currently no cause to launch impeachment proceedings against the president. “[There] are grounds for displeasure and unease in the public about the performance of this president, who has acted in a way that is strategically incoherent, that is incompetent and that is reckless,” Pelosi told reporters, according to The Hill. “And that is not grounds for impeachment.

Waters, however, is determined to probe more deeply into Trump’s conduct during both the election and his short time in office. She has introduced a bill that calls for an investigation into the Trump cabinet’s ties to Russia. “In just under two weeks, Donald Trump has unnerved our allies, challenged our values, and brought so much instability and chaos to our country,” Waters said in a press release. “This chaos is sure to please at least one person — Vladimir Putin.”

Speaking to Teen Vogue about the bill, Waters asserted that if the proposed investigation uncovers “that there was collusion and that [Trump] strategized with and planned with the Kremlin and Putin to undermine our elections,” the President should be impeached.

“I think we should go for it,” she added.

Then, in a Twitter video responding to questions she has received about Trump, Waters once again asserted that the president “is leading himself to impeachment.”

“[W]hat I’m really saying is he has done enough in a short period of time for questions to be raised about whether or not he’s acting in the best interest of this country,” she said. “He has created … chaos and disruption in the short period of time that he has been the president of the United States, and much of this is because of his executive orders and the initiatives that he’s coming out with that certainly do not appear to be in our best interest.”
