‘It left me disgusted’

Finnish beauty queen is 12th woman to accuse Donald Trump of sexual assault

October 28, 2016

Former Miss Finland Ninni Laaksonen has said that Donald Trump groped her before an appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman in 2006, The Guardian reports. She is the 12th woman to accuse the Republican presidential nominee of sexual assault.

Laaksonen represented Finland in the Miss Universe competition, which was owned by Trump. She told the Finnish newspaper Ilta-Sanomat that the assault occurred while she and three other contestants were being photographed outside The Late Show studio. “Trump stood right next to me and suddenly he squeezed my butt,” Laaksonen said. “He really grabbed my butt. I don’t think anybody saw it but I flinched and thought, ‘What is happening?’”

Laaksonen added that she had been told Trump was attracted to her because she reminded him of his wife, Melania. “It left me disgusted,” Laaksonen said.

Trump has dismissed the previous 11 accusations as “total fabrication.” He also threatened to sue all of the women who have made allegations.
