Were you paying close attention during Chelsea Clinton’s address during the Democratic National Convention? Yes, she had many laudatory things to say about her mother while she introduced Hillary Clinton as the first woman in U.S. history to accept the presidential nomination from a major party. But she also name-checked some of her favorite childhood books, and a lot of people watching apparently took notice. Since telling the audience in Philadelphia that her favorite book as a child was A Wrinkle In Time, sales of the book have skyrocketed on Amazon. It’s even outselling Republican nominee Donald Trump’s The Art of the Deal.

A Wrinkle in Time was written by American author Madeleine L’Engle and published in 1963. The book is a sci-fi novel about a young girl who’s a math wiz and whose father goes missing after working on a mysterious government science project. “I remember one week talking incessantly about a book that had captured my imagination, A Wrinkle in Time,” Clinton told the DNC audience about her parents pushing her to review what she’d learned in school each day. A moment earlier, she mentioned another kids classic. “My earliest memory is my mom picking me up after I’d fallen down, giving me a big hug, and reading me Goodnight Moon.”

It turns out that both of those books — in addition to Hillary Clinton — have received a substantial bounce following the DNC, as Slate’s Jacob Brogan noticed. Brogan reports that A Wrinkle in Time shot up from 376th place on Amazon’s bestseller list to 85th place. And Goodnight Moon, already at No. 55 on the list, climbed to 43rd place. Trump’s The Art of the Deal, meanwhile, remained back in the high 300s. Last week, news emerged that Ava DuVernay and Oprah Winfrey are teaming up to bring A Wrinkle in Time to the big screen. Winfrey is set to play Mrs. Which in the Disney production of the children’s classic.
