Should Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly be the next CEO of the network? That’s the novel idea Women in the World founder Tina Brown floated in a post on Twitter Monday. She was reacting to a report by New York magazine’s media reporter Gabriel Sherman that embattled Fox News CEO Roger Ailes is on his way out amid a sexual harassment lawsuit brought by former anchor Gretchen Carlson. Ailes has been accused of making unwanted sexual advances toward Carlson while she was employed by the network, and several other women have come forward with allegations.

Brown commented on the developments in a pair of Twitter posts, saying in the first tweet that Ailes was “done in by new rules, strong women and new Murdoch regime,” and in another tweet that Fox News needs a “gender revolution” and called for Kelly as the new CEO.

According to Sherman’s sources inside Fox News, it’s not a matter of if Ailes’s 20-year run with the network is over, it’s a matter of when the news becomes official. The Murdoch family has reportedly decided to remove Ailes as the network’s chief, and is closing out the details on announcing it. One source, Sherman reported, said Rupert Murdoch’s son James suggested giving the 76-year-old Ailes the choice to resign or be fired. According to Sherman’s piece, the Murdoch family is considering whether to swing the axe in the next day or two or wait until the Republican convention wraps up on Thursday. The decision was reportedly reached after Fox News hired an outside law firm to investigate Ailes and his management style.
