New Delhi blogger Karuna Ezara Parikh, whose poem in response to the Paris and Beirut terrorist attacks last November went viral, has posted a new piece in the wake of the attacks on Istanbul airport. At least 41 people were killed and hundreds injured on Tuesday night, when suicide attackers armed with guns and bombs launched an assault on Ataturk Airport. The government has blamed the attack on ISIS militants, The Associated Press reports, but the group has so far not claimed responsibility.
“You too Istanbul? Again?” Parikh begins. “How could someone hurt you? You with your buildings for every god.”
Here is her complete response:
Parikh appeared onstage at the Women in the World India Summit last November, where she performed her poem for Paris and Beirut.
