Supermodel Janice Dickinson, one of the women accusing Bill Cosby of sexual assault, announced she was diagnosed with breast cancer after discovering “a pea-sized lump” in her breast during a routine doctor’s appointment two weeks ago. After a biopsy and mammogram, the doctor told her she had a “non-invasive ductal carcinoma”, a common form of breast cancer that responds well to treatment in most case “I’m going to get through this. I’m going to be just fine, kiddo,” Dickinson, who will undergo radiotherapy and have the lump removed in surgery, told The Mail Online. “Don’t feel sorry for me, this is not a pity party. I’m Janice Dickinson and I’m gonna stick around for a long, long time. You ain’t getting rid of me yet.”
Her treatment will also be shown on television, in a reality show called The Doctors, which plans to follow her through the entire process. The 61-year old, often seen as the world’s first supermodel, is currently in a legal battle with entertainer Bill Cosby, after suing him for defamation over him calling her rape allegations “false and outlandish.”
