The Twitter feud between Republican presidential candidates Ted Cruz and Donald Trump — in which Trump threatened to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife, because of an attack ad that featured a nude photo of his spouse, Melania Trump — further intensified late Tuesday night. After Cruz had claimed to have nothing to do with the ad and called Trump “classless” for going after his wife, Heidi, the real estate mogul did not back down and retweeted a supporter who posted a meme featuring an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz juxtaposed beside a flattering image of Melania, with text that said, “No need to spill the beans — an image speaks a thousand words.” That obviously did not sit well with the Texas senator, who fired back on Twitter, “Donald, real men don’t attack women. Your wife is lovely, and Heidi is the love of my life.” The feud even prompted former presidential candidate Jeb Bush to endorse Ted Cruz, dismissing what he called Trump’s “divisiveness and vulgarity.”
