Viceland, Vice’s new 24-hour cable channel which debuted February 29, aired the first episode of new show “Gaycation” last Wednesday. Hosted by Ellen Page and Ian Daniel, “Gaycation” follows the pair as they search for LBGT-friendly locales and activities in Japan, Brazil, Jamaica, and the U.S.
Speaking with Slate about the filming of the show, Page said: “A huge part of the show is talking to those who don’t like us, or are fine with us but don’t want us to get married, or want us to be dead, or think we have a disorder.” Page says that she wants to understand these people and why they feel so strongly about homosexuality.
Wednesday’s entire first episode, in which Page and Daniel visit Japan, has been made available online by Vice.
