In case you needed more reasons to love Jessica Chastain, the award-winning actress has now launched her own production company “Freckle Films”, which she will run along with development executive Elise Siegel. The company has partnered with Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray of Maven Pictures, and this all-female executive team announced they have already bought the film rights to two novels by and featuring women. The Magician’s Lie, by Greer Macallister, tells the story of a famed female illusionist who is forced to prove her innocence after a dead man is found among her stage props, while Life and Other Near Death Experiences, by Libby Miller, follows the trials and tribulations of a young woman who finds out that her husband is gay and she has cancer on the same day. “Trudie and Celine are not only both highly experienced and successful producers, but the projects they’ve created demonstrate their tenacious dedication to strong characters and compelling stories that clearly resonate with audiences,” said Chastain.

Deadline also reported that Chastain is in early talks to take on the role of poker legend Molly Bloom in an Aaron Sorkin-directed adaptation of her memoir, Molly’s Game, which will be produced by Mark Gordon and Amy Pascal.
