Recreating Cara Delevingne’s trademark eyebrows took 4 weeks

The devil is in the details, they say — err, maybe he’s in Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows. Not the actual Cara Delevingne. The wax statue version of the supermodel, which looks eerily, almost frighteningly like the real Cara Delevingne. The supermodel is skipping London Fashion Week this year, but in her stead, the wax likeness of her will be sent to make an appearance. Wax Delevingne will be joined by chum wax Kendall Jenner. Madame Tussauds has crafted wax statues of the two models, and recreating them was a long painstaking process, much like we imagine getting ready to hit the fashion runway must be. Although it’s safe to say that the real Delevingne probably doesn’t spend four weeks fixing her signature eyebrows, that’s how long it took wax artists to make wax Delevingne’s eyebrows look like the real thing. Overall, it took six months for wax artists to complete the two models’ wax versions, and once the statues are in London, they’ll be under the watchful eye of a wax version of a fashion high priestess, which wax artists also made for the special occasion.
