After her star turn in Trainwreck (the box office comedy hit which she also wrote), Amy Schumer is now set to appear in her first dramatic role. Thank You For Your Service is a film that will focus on a group of American soldiers suffering from PTSD as they return from Iraq. The movie comes at a time when the issue of PTSD has increasingly become a national issue, and will focus on the soldiers’ difficulties reintegrating into family and civilian life. It is based on the David Finkel book by the same title and will be the directorial debut for Jason Hall, who previously wrote the script for American Sniper. Schumer’s co-stars will include Miles Teller and Keisha Castle-Hughes. The breakthrough comedian seems to have a few exciting projects in the pipeline: last year, it was announced she was writing a movie with Jennifer Lawrence, which would see them play sisters.
