Return of the Kings is an online “neomasculinist” group that believes rape should be legal on private property and that “a woman’s value significantly depends on her fertility and beauty” while “a man’s value significantly depends on his resources, intellect, and character.” Its founder, Daryush “Roosh” Valizadeh rose to popularity after the site posted a list of America’s “ugliest” feminists in 2013 and hasn’t slowed down in attention-seeking since. This month, several self-described “tribal meetings” among members are to be held in major Australian cities, and Valizadeh has vowed to show up on February 6.
“To all attractive Australian girls in age range of 18-22. I’m coming to your country and am free to meet for drinks,” he tweeted. Forty-three other meetups are planned worldwide, news of which has been met much protest and mockery online.
