By WITW Staff on January 26, 2016

A Los Angeles court has ordered celebrity yoga guru Bikram Choudhury to pay $924,500 in damages to his former legal advisor, who claimed that Choudhury sexually harassed her. Minakshi Jafa-Bodden also alleged that Choudhury fired her when she began to investigate sexual misconduct claims against him. Choudhury denied Jafa-Bodden’s allegations during the trial, saying that Jafa-Bodden was fired because she was not licensed to practice law in the United States.

Three additional sexual misconduct suits against Choudhury are currently pending.
