Starting next week, a new video series from Fusion called “The 30” will introduce viewers to 30 women — all 30 years old or younger — set to make an impact on the 2016 election. These women are different in background, both politically and culturally, but alike in their determination to realize their goals. Yvonne Dean-Bailey, a Republican who won a seat in the New Hampshire legislature at 19, will be featured on the same list as Greisa Martinez, a DREAMer who works as the advocacy director for United We Dream. Another, Rachel Kania, is a political consultant for Rand Paul’s campaign. One of “The 30” came out as transgender in the school newspaper before becoming an advocate for LGBT equality, and another is a 22-year-old Muslim woman who became a viral sensation after posting a response to Donald Trump on social media. Together these women represent America in all its youthful diversity, and in the upcoming elections they’ll be working to determine America’s political landscape.
Watch the video at Fusion.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this article misstated the organization with which Greisa Martinez works. She is a director for United We Dream, not a strategist for the Clinton campaign.
