Nicki Minaj criticizes media for not showing pictures of her smiling

By WITW Staff on January 13, 2016

Nicki Minaj has lashed out at the media for unfairly portraying her as aggressive, saying news organizations use photos of her looking angry, while “always managing to find a smiling photo of the ‘other’ team.” She tweeted several pictures of herself smiling and specifically named and shamed gossip website Just Jared and U.S. radio station KIIS FM for what she sees as their implicit bias in using an “angry” photo of her while portraying reality star Farrah Abraham as smiling in their reporting of a recent Twitter feud between the two celebrities.
