Planned Parenthood announced on Wednesday that it’s endorsing Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race because she’s the “nation’s best presidential candidate for reproductive rights, hands down.” In a statement, the organization elaborated on why it’s backing the Democratic frontrunner, saying she “has been a proactive leader on expanding access to women’s health care.” Planned Parenthood cited three primary points about Clinton — legislation she’s introduced aimed at protecting reproductive rights, her outspokenness on the issued and her testimony before Congress about abortion being essential to reproductive health care — that make her the best candidate on women’s health issues. Planned Parenthood posted the following graphic on Twitter heralding the news.
