In new parody of “Santa Baby,” women ask for help freezing eggs

By WITW Staff on December 23, 2015

Actors Dominique Salerno and Laura Hankin have produced their own sultry rendition of famous holiday song, “Santa Baby,” with one small twist: they want Santa to help them freeze their eggs. “We chose to use ‘Santa Baby’ because it’s so clearly about that traditional gender posturing that women do for men to get ‘what they want,'” Salerno and Hankin told The Huffington Post. “We thought it would be fun to juxtapose that outdated trope with the actual desires of a real woman in 2015. Instead of asking Santa for a yacht or a ring, women want something else nowadays: more reproductive freedom.” Among the song’s highlights: a brief financial rundown of the cost of freezing and storing eggs, and an interlude where one of the career-orientated women takes a call from work to fire an incompetent employee. Merry Christmas!
