During an appearance on a Sirius XM radio show Monday, Donald Trump unleashed another round of nasty attacks on a woman — this time U.S. Rep. and DNC chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Trump said Wasserman Schultz is “crazy,” a “terrible person” and is “a highly-neurotic woman.” The Republican frontrunner was discussing the recent GOP debate, for which CNBC has come under fire, before turning his attention to the DNC chair. He went on to accuse Wasserman Schultz of trying to help Hillary Clinton’s campaign by scheduling a minimal number of Democratic debates and ensuring that the questions asked of Clinton during debates are all “softballs.” The DNC wasted no time in responding, issuing a statement that said, “The Republican frontrunner’s misogynistic attacks are sadly representative of the GOP’s outdated approach to women and the issues that affect them and their families. Whether it’s trying to get between them and their doctor, opposing equal pay for equal work, or using offensive language, the Republican Party is wrong for women,” Kaylie Hanson, a spokesperson for the DNC, said.
