Comic book legend Stan Lee is working on a new superhero movie, Realm, that will feature Li Bingbing as a Chinese female superhero; a first for the Marvel universe. While very little is known about the movie so far, the script will be based on an original idea by the 92-year old Lee, who co-created Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Hulk and numerous other superheroes. “What a kick it has been to create our first Chinese female superhero, and an empowering one at that,” Lee told Variety. “It has been such a fun experience bringing to life an international woman character, and the ability to do so has been different from anything we’ve ever done! I am thoroughly enjoying every minute of it.”
The 42-year old Bingbing is known for her roles in big Hollywood productions as Transformers: Age of Extinction and Resident Evil: Retribution, and will also be helping produce this movie, along with Gill Champion and Gregory Ouanhon.
