An Australian mother was in for an unpleasant shock when she recognized her own son on CCTV footage on the evening news, after it was released by police who were looking for witnesses of a sexual assault. After seeing the footage, she told her son he should call the police, after which the man turned himself into the police and admitted forcibly groping, hugging and kissing a woman as she walked home in Kings Cross, Sydney. Police had released the CCTV footage three months after the incident, which took plane in January 2014, after they had exhausted all leads. According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the 37-year old man pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to a charge of sexual intercourse without consent, but guilty to a charge of indecent assault. He could face a prison term when he will be sentenced for the assault on March 4.
