If you needed another reason to love talented actor/beautiful human Bradley Cooper, we have some good news: Cooper has made a very public display of support for his co-star Jennifer Lawrence, who published an attack this week on Hollywood’s pay gap. Writing in Lena Dunham’s Lenny newsletter, Lawrence said that she had been worried about being labeled as a “brat” when negotiating movie deals, but rethought her position when she discovered that she had been paid several million dollars less than her male American Hustle co-stars — including Cooper. For his part, Cooper told Reuters it was “fantastic” that Lawrence had used her public platform to highlight the gender pay gap in the United States. “Would people listen if another woman said it?” he asked. The actor also noted that he has been teaming up with female stars to negotiate salaries before film production starts. “I don’t know where it’s changing otherwise but that’s something that I could do,” Cooper said.
