If you watch only one crazy political attack ad online today, make it Kay Daly’s latest entry in the genre (above for your viewing pleasure). It’s good for some comic relief at the end of a long week. Daly is running to unseat the incumbent U.S. Representative in North Carolina’s second district, Renee Ellmers. In the ad, Daly, who touts herself as a “real Republican,” accuses Ellmers of being a “feminist.” Daly rails against Ellmers for having “voted to let homosexuals pretend they’re married,” and “to fund planned butcherhood.” Wait — did you hear that noise? Yep, that was the unmistakable sound of the Saturday Night Live writers having to scrap a hilarious sketch they had written for the season premiere next weekend.
