Munira Mirzoyeva, a garden worker was recently featured on Atlas of Beauty, a blog operated by Romanian photographer Mihaela Noroc. “A beautiful street cleaner,” the caption under the photo read. Noroc’s blog chronicles the diversity and uniqueness of women’s beauty around the world, and on a recent visit to Dushanbe, she trained her camera lens on Mirzoyeva. Mirzoyeva lives with her parents and four younger siblings in a one-bedroom apartment and longs to return to school and resume her schooling. She was forced to abandon her education in grade school and once had ambitions of becoming a doctor. “If the chance presents itself, I will definitely continue my studies, because that is my biggest dream,” she told The Associated Press. “I like my job as a gardener, but because I don’t have the opportunity, I cannot get the chance to study. But if I get the chance, I will definitely do it.”
