Assaults and arrests plague Times Square’s topless women

This week, two topless women working for tips in New York City’s Time Square were assaulted by a male tourist from North Carolina, who claimed his wallet was stolen after posing for a picture with one of the women. Mark Walters of Charlotte, North Carolina, is accused of grabbing one of the women by the hair and throwing her to the ground, then striking the other in the face when she attempted to intervene. He is being held in jail with a $1,500 bond. Another woman who works as a semi-nude performer in Times Square was arrested with her boyfriend on Wednesday night after allegedly selling drugs to undercover cops who said she also offered to perform a sex act.
