Alison Parker, a 24-year-old reporter for WDBJ7 in Virginia, was gunned down during a live television broadcast at approximately 6:45 a.m. on August 26. She was interviewing a woman at a local plaza about business in Franklin County when shots rang out and both women screamed. The audience was given a glimpse of the gunman pointing his weapon after cameraman Adam Ward, 27, fell to the ground after also being shot. Both Parker and Ward killed in the attack. Law enforcement are now looking for a suspect in the area. Parker was dating an anchor at the station and Ward was engaged to be married to a producer at the station.
