At a press conference on Thursday, two women introduced as Elizabeth, a former flight attendant, and Charlotte Fox, a former aspiring actress, have joined the ever-growing list of Bill Cosby accusers, bringing the total to more than 50. The two were accompanied by Gloria Allred, who represents several of the accusers and Sarita Butterfield, a former Playboy model who alleges Cosby assaulted her when she was just 15 years old. They recounted experiences which were eerily similar to those of the other women, detailing how Cosby allegedly first drugged and then raped them. “All I know is that it was the most horrifying thing that could happen to any young woman,” Elizabeth said at the press conference, adding, “I’ve lived with the shame and the guilt of thinking it was somehow my fault, but it wasn’t. Because if I hadn’t been drugged, I would have never ended up in a hotel with him and he knew that.” Charlotte Fox recounted her own alleged assault after meeting Cosby on the set of Uptown Saturday Night in the 1970s, saying that when she heard of the other accusers, “I said ‘Oh God, that is what happened to me.'” Last week, three more women, also represented by Allred, came forward with accusations against Cosby, whom a judge has ordered to testify at a deposition in October.
