Last fall, two women went to investigators after they were unable to recall phone calls and meetings with Michael Fine, a Sheffield, Ohio, lawyer, who permanently surrendered his law license this week. The Lorain County Bar Association suspended Fine in November 2014, when he began unspecified medical treatment. Before going to police, one of the women recorded two phone calls with Fine in which he used sexually explicit language. She later wore a wire to a meeting in Fine’s office, where investigators intervened when he began discussing sex acts.
