The video game League of Legends is not all that popular with women gamers because “it’s all about killing,” says Fafa, a captain on a groundbreaking new video gaming team that has been organized in Hong Kong. However, the seven women who make up the new Girl HK team love the game, and some have been playing it for several years. “Girls are more careful,” Fafa says of playing in a league the is otherwise completely male-dominated. “We pay attention to details.” The new team is set to compete against a team from Taiwan at the end of August and Fafa says the team is confident it can pull off a victory in its first major competition.
