A day after the Senate voted against defunding Planned Parenthood, the Center for Medical Progress released yet another undercover video aimed at disparaging the agency, bringing the total to five. The latest video reportedly shows undercover operatives ostensibly trying to obtain intact fetal tissue from a Planned Parenthood branch in Houston, and it follows a familiar narrative: There is talk of altering abortion procedures to ensure fetal samples remain intact and discussion of how much revenue was generated by fetal tissue donations. Once again, Planned Parenthood has fired back at the video, saying it was heavily edited. “The latest tape has at least 20 substantial unexplained edits,” Dawn Laguens, Planned Parenthood’s executive vice president, said in a statement. “Previous tapes released by this extremist group were heavily edited in order to distort what the people on the tapes actually said. These videos are intended to shock and deceive the public.” Meanwhile, the man behind the videos spoke out in a video interview with CNN and insists he stands by the controversial footage.
