Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 22-year old daughter of the late Whitney Houston and singer Bobby Brown, has passed away after six months of being in a medically induced coma. In January, Brown was found unresponsive in her bathtub in Atlanta, echoing her mother’s death in a bathtub three years earlier. Nick Gordon, her foster brother and the man she considered her husband, said at the time that it seemed she wasn’t breathing and lacked a pulse. Kristen Foster, a family representative, said: “Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away surrounded by her family. She is finally at peace in the arms of God. We want to again thank everyone for their tremendous amount of love and support during these last few months.” Shortly after her Houston’s death in 2012, Bobbi Kristina told Oprah Winfrey that she wanted to carry on her mother’s legacy as an entertainer, but her career never really took off. Oprah was one of many celebrities taking to social media to share their condolences, tweeting “Peace at Last!”. Grammy-winning performer Missy Elliott tweeted: “My heart is truly heavy. May u rest in peace with your mommy”.
