Camille Cosby is taking “stand by your man” to unprecedented levels. According to sources close to the family, Bill Cosby’s wife and business manager still supports the disgraced comedy legend despite the fact that more than 40 women have come forward to accuse him of sexual assault, and, Cosby, in a 2005 court deposition that was recently made public, admitted to drugging women for sex. “Camille still doesn’t believe that Bill provided drugs and had sex with women without their consent,” a source employed by the Cosby family reportedly told The New York Post. “She’s well aware of his cheating, but she doesn’t believe that her husband is a rapist.” Camille, who has been married to the once legendary comedian for more than 41 years, and has been his manager since before he was famous, reportedly sees the public backlash against her husband as “an affront to her and all that she’s done to make him a star.” The report also mentions a crisis meeting, organized by Camille at the Cosby’s home last Tuesday, where she assembled lawyers, advisers and PR specialists to “get back out in front with this” and reportedly told them, “I created him, I knew what I was getting and we’ll fix this. They are making him out to be such a bad guy, a monster.” Cosby has also found support from Whoopi Goldberg.
