A documentary airing Friday in the U.K. about Virgin Atlantic will feature one of the airline’s newest flight attendants, Katrine Hayes, a 59-year-old grandmother of 11. The three-part program Virgin Atlantic: Up in the Air will show how the airline launches its planes, redesigns trains, recruits, and redesigns uniforms. The documentary follows a year of reinvention for the airline, which will now focus on flights to the U.S. The show will feature Hayes’ training and experiences as a flight attendant. She reportedly told The Telegraph, “It’s what I’ve been wanting to do for 25-30 years, and I feel the time is right,” of her new gig in the sky.
