Another Florida State University quarterback is making headlines for reasons other than his skills on the field. De’Andre Johnson, Florida State’s freshman quarterback is the latest. Two weeks after the freshman football player was arrested for hitting a woman at a bar in Tallahassee, security video of the incident was released by the State Attorney’s office. The video apparently shows Johnson, 19, punching a woman in the face after the two got into a fight about access to the bar. She punched him first, but his return was a heavy blow, causing bruising and swelling on the woman’s face. The footage was finally released two weeks later, resulting in Johnson’s indefinite suspension from the team. He’s been charged with misdemeanor battery.
