Go Rihanna! The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) revealed that the pop star now has more than 100 million gold and platinum certifications and, therefore, was elevated to Number 1 on its list of artists with the most digital single awards. She is the first artist to surpass the 100 million cumulative singles award threshold. RIAA’s Chairman & CEO Cary Sherman told Billboard, “It’s rare that we have the opportunity to recognize a milestone like the one Rihanna has reached … it’s an historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career.” Rihanna’s 37 separate titles released during her career include a 9x platinum award for “We Found Love,” as well as several other multi-platinum hits, including her newest platinum, “Bitch Better Have My Money.”
