A corrections officer in North Carolina is under arrest after allegedly helping a convicted murderer break out of prison. Kendra Lynnette Miller, 33, is accused of carrying on a sexual relationship with Kristopher McNeil, 29, who broke out of Brown Creek Correctional Institution on Sunday. McNeil was reportedly captured later in the day after authorities received tips from the public. On Monday, Miller, who’d worked at the prison since December, was slapped with a slew of charges including having sex with an inmate and aiding and abetting a fugitive. The brazen prison break occurred on the same day officials in New York capture David Sweat, on of two prisoners who escaped the Clinton County Correctional Facility in upstate New York with the help of 51-year-old prison worker Joyce Mitchell.
