Just in time for “bikini-season,” Swimsuits For All has released a positive new summer campaign called “Beach Body. Not Sorry.” The campaign’s release included a “completely un-retouched” video starring plus-sized model Denise Bidot who says, “There is no wrong way to be a woman … It’s time to stop apologizing. I want women to feel confident and sexy by knowing that there’s nothing wrong with being yourself.” Commenting on her body, she says, “I love everything … the cellulite, the stretch marks … everything that I, at one point when I was younger thought was an imperfection.” By focusing on positive body image, and the fact that women don’t need to say sorry for everything, the campaign is a breath of fresh air. Bidot adds, “Curvy women shouldn’t apologize for who they are … it’s all about confidence.”
