Rose McGowan fired by agent for criticizing sexist role

Grindhouse Actress Rose McGowan, 41, was fired by her agent on Wednesday after tweeting the wardrobe description from an upcoming Adam Sandler movie audition script to her 580,000 Twitter followers. In the tweet, McGowan shared that actresses’ auditioning were told to wear tight clothing, and encouraged to wear tops that “show off cleavage.” According to The Hollywood Reporter McGowan was represented by agents Sheila Wenzel and Steve Muller of Innovative Artists who subsequently fired her for making the statement. The New York Daily News reached out to her former agents for a comment, and received no response. McGowan, unfazed, tweeted, “The awesome thing about being an artist? You can’t be fired from your own mind. #FREEDOM”.
