Children of a Charleston victim say they forgive their mother’s killer

In an extraordinary display of mercy, the children of Sharonda Coleman-Singleton, one of the nine victims of the Charleston church massacre, say they’ve forgiven Dylann Roof, the 21-year-old who opened fire at a Bible study group of a black church. “We already forgive him for what he’s done, and there’s nothing but love from our side of the family,” Coleman-Singleton’s teenage son, Chris, said in a tribute to his mother, held at the high school where she worked as an athletics coach. “I just feel a lot of love,” said his younger sister, Camryn. “I’m a little bitter, but I’m overwhelmed with love.”
