Caitlyn Jenner’s mom says she will learn to stop calling her ‘Bruce’

In an interview with The New York Daily News, Esther Jenner, the 89-year-old mother of Caitlyn Jenner spoke out about the transition that’s made national news. Esther said she fully supports the transition as Caitlyn opens a new chapter of her life. “I love him dearly,” she told the Daily News. “It doesn’t matter whether he dresses like a male or a female. Whatever he needs to make him happy, that’s all I care about.” She continued, “I have nothing but admiration for my child.” As for remembering the correct name and pronouns with which to reference her child, Esther vowed to get it right, noting that it may take some time. “It’s a difficult thing when it’s habit,” she said. “But I will accomplish this.”
