Vanity Fair has just released a gorgeous photo of its July cover featuring Caitlyn Jenner. Legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz captured Jenner’s first portraits as Caitlyn in her Malibu home, and she looks stunning. (We also love how she broke free from the family’s K-name tradition.) Pulitzer Prize-winning contributing editor and Friday Night Lights author Buzz Bissinger wrote the accompanying piece, which documents “the tensions, traumas, and courage that shaped Caitlyn into the woman you see today.” Here’s one inspiring snippet from Jenner during their time together: “If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it, I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’” Vanity Fair also has a behind-the-scenes video of the photo shoot, in which Jenner says, “Soon as the Vanity Fair cover comes out, I’m free.” The issue hits newsstands on Tuesday, June 9, but early access is available for new digital subscribers. Fans can also follow Caitlyn Jenner on her brand new Twitter account, @Caitlyn_Jenner.
