Kim Yo Jung, 28, the little sister of Kim Jong Un, made a rare public appearance, according to reports out of South Korea. She was reportedly photographed with her brother during a visit to a military-run tree nursery in North Korea. Reports say the photos show Kim appearing slimmer than she had in her last public appearance prompting speculation that she had recently given birth. South Korea’s intelligence agency reportedly believes she was married last year and due to give birth in May. A spokesperson at North Korea’s London Embassy reached by The Independent declined to comment on the photos. Kim Yo Jong is believed to be Kim Jong Un’s closest confidante in the isolated hermit kingdom and now occupies the position previously held by their uncle, whom Kim reportedly had executed last year. Some experts have speculated that Kim, possibly racked with anxiety, may be grooming his sister for power.
