Popular Fox News host Bill O’Reilly has been embroiled in a what is becoming a public and nasty custody dispute with his ex-wife, Maureen McPhilmy. In purported court documents obtained by Gawker, O’Reilly’s teenage daughter is shown to have apparently told a court-appointed psychologist that she once witnessed O’Reilly “choking her mom” as he allegedly “dragged her down some stairs.” The court documents, transcripts from a psychologist’s assessment of the family members, also show that O’Reilly allegedly once told his daughter that her mother was an “adulterer.” Of course, O’Reilly is no stranger to adultery allegations. In 2004, he settled an explosive sexual harassment lawsuit brought by a former employee who had made numerous salacious accusations against the Fox News host. O’Reilly has remained largely tight-lipped about the custody case thus far, offering one brief statement to Politico. “All allegations against me in these circumstances are 100 percent false. I am going to respect the court-mandated confidentiality put in place to protect my children and will not comment any further,” O’Reilly said in the statement.
