Raheam Felton, 31, was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of his transgender roommate Londyn Chanel. The attack is currently being investigated as a domestic dispute. Police said the killing took place inside the abandoned building Felton shared with Chanel and one other transgender women in North Philadelphia. Felton allegedly stabbed Chanel in the neck and back before carrying her body outside to perform CPR and seek help from police, according to reports. Felton has a checkered criminal past that includes prior convictions for assault, prostitution, and burglary. Chanel is the eighth transgender woman to be murdered in the U.S. this year, according to Advocate.com.
