When Carly Fiorina entered the presidential race the media quickly jumped on her campaign’s failure to register the domain name CarlyFiorina.org. The person who beat her to it now famously used the space to highlight how many people Fiorina laid off while CEO of Hewlett-Packard. But Fiorina isn’t the only candidate who didn’t snatch up all possible permutations of campaign URLs. At the moment, HillaryClinton.net redirects to Fiorina’s website CarlyForPresident.com. Fiorina’s team claims no responsibility but points out the lopsided attention it perceives the digital snafu is getting versus its own .org debacle. Let’s hope all candidates took a lesson from Taylor Swift and Microsoft, who bought up .porn and .sucks domains ahead of them going on sale to the public in June.
