“Crying rooms” specifically for women open in Japan

A Japanese hotel is offering a unique service: “crying rooms” specifically for stressed out women where they can enjoy a good sob and de-stress. For 10,000 Japanese Yen (or about $85 U.S. dollars) a woman can rent the special rooms, which are stocked with tissues, warm eye masks and a range of sentimental movies, six of which are available in English including, Forrest Gump, The Intouchables, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, The Notebook, One Day and What’s Eating Gilbert Grape. The main reason behind the novel idea, according to a spokesperson, is “because Japanese ladies in their 20s-40s are often said to live a life of stress.”
