A court in Russia has found three young women guilty of performing “an erotic and sexual twerk dance” in front of a World War II memorial. The three women were sentenced this weekend in Novorossiisk, in Southern Russian, and are each facing 15 days in jail. The women put a video of the twerking performance on YouTube. The footage, which can be viewed below and appears to be professionally produced, shows the women dancing a choreographed number in front of the memorial. Prosecutors said the performance was “unacceptable and any attempts to desecrate sites of military glory will be stopped immediately.” So there you have it. No twerking near war memorial in Russia.
